Interim IMCOSA update regarding the anticipated New Immigration Regulations:
The anticipated law changes have NOT come into effect on 1 April as was expected in light of Home Affairs preparations to this effect. Large volumes of written submissions commenting on the draft Regulations were received by the Department of Home Affairs, and these are being considered in workshops of senior officials in Pretoria. We currently do not expect the changes to be implemented in the next few months, but we will keep updating our clients on the matter as we receive further information.
