As part of IMCOSA’s efforts to keep you up to date with regards to developments and changes taking place in the context of immigration laws and procedures in South Africa, herewith the latest news:

The Cape Town regional office of Home Affairs will temporarily be moving office towards the end of March or in early April 2010. The offices will be relocated to the Customs House at the Foreshore for a period of about 3-4 months whilst the building in Barrack Street will be renovated. Thereafter, all offices and files will be moved back to their current location and business is intended to continue as usual.

Due to the move, it is expected that there will be disruptions and delays in the processing of all applications, and specifically delays in the locating of files. Our estimate processing times for temporary residence applications will therefore be extended by up to three weeks.

As your representatives, we will continue to follow up in detail on your applications, to keep you updated on developments and to provide the best possible service to you and your clients or employees.

Best Regards
